Skooting on paved paths
Skooting on relatively flat ground or even skate parks is fine with regular skoots that have the back fender brakes. However, if you want to take your skoots out on some paved paths with hills you need more braking power. I discovered this while skooting in Maui. I came to some steep downhills and had to use both rear fender brakes. They screeched a horrible loud high pitch as I inched down the hill. Recently I added a rear disc brake to one of my skoots. It works well, but adds a little weight. To see it and get more information, please watch my YouTube video at https://youtu.be/Ro1zm-gBGRk
Thanks for your interest and happy skooting!
