3 or 4 wheels 80mm or 100mm

I am a female intermediate skater and have 2 questions.

1. Which is best 3 or 4 wheels? 2. which is best 70mm or 100mm ?

I am hoping to increase fitness.

Cheers

  • If you like to go fast then 100's are the way to go, and are the choice of most fitness skaters. 70's are slower but more maneuverable so if you skate on really crowded trails or if you like to get fancy when you skate, they might be your best bet. I've never tried 3 wheelers but I assume they're more maneuverable than 4 wheelers.

Skating is a great choice for a fitness activity. In my experience, it is 2nd only to XC skiing as a total body workout. It is still best to add a few other activities to your regimen like running, cycling, swimming, dancing etc. for maximum fitness.

    Have fun and stay safe!

  • Choosing between 3 or 4 wheels and 80mm or 100mm wheels depends on your skating style. 3-wheel skates (100mm+) offer more speed and are great for experienced skaters, while 4-wheel skates (80mm) provide better stability and control, making them ideal for beginners. Whether you're into inline or roller skating, Skateraati offers expert training to help skaters master techniques and choose the right gear for their needs. When choosing between 3 or 4 wheels and 80mm or 100mm wheels for inline skates, it depends on your skating style and skill level.

    • 3 Wheels (100mm or larger):
      • Offers higher speed and smoother rides.
      • Better for long-distance and urban skating.
      • Requires more balance and control, so ideal for experienced skaters.
    • 4 Wheels (80mm):
      • Provides more stability and maneuverability.
      • Easier to control, making it great for beginners.
      • Ideal for freestyle, slalom, and technical skating.

If you're just starting or prefer more control, 4 wheels (80mm) is the best choice. For speed and agility, 3 wheels (100mm) work better.๐Ÿ˜Š
