One foot spins
When people are doing the [long] one-foot spins (OFSs), are they using jamplugs or is it all raw balance? I have been having a hard time staying up on one foot by itself. I don't use jam plugs or toe stops as I skate outdoors. I have only seen OFSs on YouTube and it's all middle-of-the-rink skating. Of course, the lighting is not great so I can't see what's really going on there. Thanks in advance for the insights.
I'll post again if/when I make progress on the spin itself.

There are both toe plug spins and two wheel spins. Jam skaters here tend to spin on the toe plugs or somehow otherwise on two wheels (toe or heel) because they usually cannot do edge spins.
Generally the spins don't use jam plugs or toe stoppers, you gotta have balance.
I've seen it done both ways. Here are some examples from Dirty Deb!
