You can also just loosen the action a lot, which you've probably already done. But I find the mediums to be pretty soft with the action loose and have done dance in them. I'm 155lbs though.
-
For compulsory dance the Roll-Line Dance and Energy are good. Mistral is the best cheap option. Yeah if they only have hard ones you won't be able to find soft cushions for Atlas unless you get super lucky. It may be possible to make cushions for th…

Btw Riedell cushions will not fit on Atlas plates.
-
Black atlas cushions are medium. They don't make atlas cushions anymore, it will be hard to find good soft ones but conniesskateplace sells NOS atlas parts.
-
Also depends on the skater weight. I'm about 155lbs and skate on a concrete floor.
-
Hmm I will be testing them out with that substance so I'll let you know if they fail or not haha. I just ordered a 12 pack of zoom spout turbine oil to lube some bearings, I'm just not going to worry about it since that's what my coach has used for …

The hardness depends entirely on your floor. Is it wood, concrete, is it coated nicely? And also depends on what dances you're doing. Backwards or forwards dances, C, B, A, or youth international level? Juvenile, Elementary, Freshman, or Sophomore a…

Interesting to hear your bearing story. They obviously didn't send you the same bearings as advertised so I'd contact them and see if there's anything to be done about that. However I also got some new old stock bearings (NOT NMB) recently that also…

Also which region are you out of? I may know her coach lol
-
What event/dances is she doing? (most important question) I use Roll-Line Ice and Komplex Bolero but prefer Komplex overall. The Komplex have huge issues with flats though, the Ice wheels do flat spot not not nearly as bad as the Komplex. Bones Elit…

How does the cleaning bottle compare to the Bones one and is the listing still up? The one I have only allows for about 8 bearings, but seems to do a good job. Recently I've been using an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner to clean bearings though.
-
I'm not sure if there's any difference between the Singapore and Thailand ones, probably not. I tried the exact same thing on alibaba and gave up as well hahaha. At worst, you'll have a bunch of spare bearings you can use in an emergency or give awa…

Nice, they seem like great bearings to me so far. If you wanted to stock up on more those links I sent seem to be a very good price and I think have a ''best offer'' option so maybe you can get them even cheaper. My NMB bearings say 627 Thailand on …

Oops just realized this was Doc's section. He will get back to you with solid advice, definitely listen to what he has to say as well haha.
-
You can skate on them but bad mounting jobs shouldn't be tolerated. Loosen the trucks a bit if they start pulling in the wrong direction.
-
NOS means new old stock. I found them on Ebay, tube of 50 NBM bearings for 50 or so dollars. I will send you the link. I put these on my 7mm axles and they work well. But if you are using 8mm axles they won't work for you at all. https://www.ebay.…

How much would you pay for one in decent condition?
-
My dance partner has been using them for a few months, and they keep rolling silently and smoothly. Seems like a great bearing.
-
I just got another NOS set of 627zz double metal shielded NMBs, I will experiment with them sometime soon to see about removing one shield and get back to you after I've done that.
-
Go Roll-Line regardless of what model you get. You will not regret it. Ceramics are not worth it, also break easily.
-
I've just pried them off before.
-
probably since it's not skating
-
It will be slow going, I wouldn't recommend it. Many are not doing proper movements as well sadly.
-
Hockey, aggressive, speed, recreational x2, slalom/urban.
-
Low quality leather, thin tongues, breaks down easily. Imagine getting $5 technically ''leather'' dress shoes vs real leather dress shoes.
-
Vanillas are just awful if you're used to quality boots like that. Maybe go modern and get something quality (with potential foot tracing or mold option) from Bont or some full customs from something like Dammed Soles. Switching from my 295s to Vani…

Makes sense. Those are pricey though. Btw, yesterday I just blew out my Qube 8 ball bearings bailing out of a traveling camel spin. Thought they were supposed to be durable.
-
647ZZ? I have used 627ZZ bearings, are the 647s basically the same?

Find a coach, artistic club in your rink.

If it's a reputable skate shop and they're charging retail it's basically assured. But you can call or email Bones to ask and confirm.
