Sadly it was facebook that killed the old Skate Log Forum, and is why this forum doesn't have alot of activity. There are a few good groups with very knowledgeable and experienced skaters. Denny, i think some of the negativity has probably come from…

From a facebook group he is part of. The same awesome guy (Marshall Mort) who loaned David his Scott wheels to do a review loaned him a setup with Arius platinums and Wicked Scotts. Marshall is a true guru of the Arius and one hell of a skater.

Forgot to tell you that David Lawliet aka Deez Skates on YouTube is in the process or will soon be doing an in depth video review of the Arius. He's a way more experienced skater than me and has skated lots of different setups including inlines and …

Haven't visited here in a while and plan to do a full review of the Arius and Solaris soon. The plate is nothing short of amazing. It is super light, has excellent power transfer, and has insane agility. I stuck with the yellow/green cushions for se…

This should be interesting and informative. Some swear by ceramics, while others say they cant tell a difference to their cheap Chinese bearings.

I skate with my dog on a paved community/ park walking path. I skate with him, rather than him pulling me, and most times he runs in the grass. Biggest tip I can give is to drop the leash if he stops suddenly and you can't brake or stop before yanki…

All part of learning. When stopping, angle your skate less than 90 degrees, so the wheels will continue to roll, and keep the wheels flat on the ground. It's easiest to learn by only using the front wheels to brake, but most efficient with all 4 wh…

I had the same problem with my quads and CoolMax socks were a huge help. Boots still get slightly wet around ankle and heel area but dry much quicker. Liked them so much I wear them with my work boots now.

There was a discussion in a facebook group a few weeks ago (before the shutdowns happened) that Skates.com was not sending out paid for orders, not responding to emails, and their voicemail inbox was full. Not sure if their issues have been resolve…

Sounds like you are getting the information you are looking for, and talking to skateshops is always helpful. I don't think you are feeling the cushions breaking in as much as you are adapting to how the skates feel and react. The taller and softer…

Wouldn't hurt to try to tighten the front trucks more (without pancaking the cushions). I would say it feels squirrely due to the bent axles, worn pivot cups, and your balance/ confidence in leaning forward enough to get weight on the front axles. …

Boot is an old style Riedell 265 before they added the velcro strap. Cant find any info if the dual action DA45 truck is compatible with that plate. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in.

Fierocious1, you get 1 hour after original posting to make any edits. If you cursor to top right corner of your post an options icon appears with the edit option.

You need to have a pretty good lean going and some speed (dont have to be going fast, but enough momentum to carry you while on 1 skate) to do a crossover. I agree with BMW325 that standing more upright helps with balance and stability. Not sure if…

Hi Everybody, hope this forum can grow and continue the great spread of information provided by skatelog. I live in the Cincinnati area and started skating at age 6 (1989) and skated 2-3 times a week until my local rink closed in 1998. Around 10 ye…
