Reverse engineering a mount

Doc, I recently got these skates done; could you explain what you think their logic was and how they got the angle of the plate how they did? The left boot [in the pictures] had that mark by the toe to assist in the mounting process I assume.

Boot: Riedell 336 at 12.5 wide The boot is 33cm (12.99in) long

Plate: Arius Platinum size 11, 27.5cm (10 4/5 in)

  • Was this a factory build @ Riedell?? Quite frankly I see no "logic" in the build as it certainly does not appear to follow any of the rules I am familiar with...

  • It was not a factory build from Riedell. It was done by a skateshop.

  • That is a shame what they did to your set up I can guess what they did

they mounted the front first and then centered the heel creating that weird line

  • @I2endurancerace How would you do it differently [and why]?

  • Oh my just from the mounting hardware you can tell the mount is about to be way off lol

  • I always drill mount holes in the heel first then create center line if you drill front of the plate you have no option to adjust or create a center line

  • "Center line" was the first mistake.

  • DVW is correct, centerline is way off.
