Best mounting option for a Mota Mojo carbon base boot.

Hello Doc.

Hoping you could help me out with the best way to go with mounting plates to a set of Mota Mojo quad boots.

They have a carbon base and have had a single previous mount, to which I have JB'd up the old holes and have them ready to go.

What I'd like to know is can tee nuts be used in a boot with a carbon base or should I use a through the boot style bolt and attach the plate with nuts from the underside.

Hope the above makes sense.

Thanks for your time.

  • One can certainly Tee nut a Mota. Have done so in the past. Just cut the teeth off the tee nut because they won't sink into a carbon boot. That said, there are a couple of plate exceptions that do not play well with Tee nuts.

  • Thanks so much for your reply Doc.

I preempted that you would suggest cutting off the barbs on the tee-nuts so I had that sorted already 😉

Have just completed putting them together and they came up a treat. (Have attached a couple of pics)

    Really appreciate the help Doc.

    Cheers,

    Russell
